Certification

We like to point out that performance enhancement and any other modification done to a vehicle may lead to exclusion of manufacturer warranty. In that case the general operating licence is not valid any more since the vehicle does not conform to the official data given by the manufacturer. This has to be taken into consideration when issuing new or maintaining already issued insurance contracts.

The Technical Inspection Agency perfomrs the following tests:

  • Evaluating power output and torque

  • Testing exhaust emission characteristics (all data needs to correspond with the data of the typographer accepted at the initial registration)

  • Testing noise (all data needs to correspond with the data of the typographer accepted at the initial registration)

  • Evaluating maximum speed (based on road tests or calculation)

  • Braking response / inspecting brakes

  • Testing tire appropriateness

  • Evaluating speed indicator appropriateness (needs to correspond with maximum speed at least)

  • Evaluating agreement with trailer load according to the general principle 92/21/EWG of the official form

  • Evaluating agreement with other official forms
